  • Lean Into Boredom

Learn to be comfortable in boredom.

Life does not exist for your entertainment.

You do not need, nor should you want, to be in a constant state of stimulation.

The quiet is there to heal you, to allow you to reflect and to rest.

Do not rush through these moments looking for something to do, to say, to hear, touch, taste, or see.

    Lean into the quiet.

Let the stillness envelop you, allow it to teach you, and feel it unfold from within you.

    Become the quiet.

  • Spiritual Hoarding

When you live a life according to spiritual principles, good things will inevitably come your way.

Life will still be difficult, painful, and heartbreaking at times, but it will more often be joyful, rewarding, and purposeful.

The gifts of the spirit are many and they are great.

These gifts are meant to be shared, however; they are not meant to be hoarded.

If you take all of the gifts of a good life and keep them to yourself, without giving back with the gifts you have been given, you will quickly find that it is all hollow and without meaning

You will find that the gifts themselves were never really the point.

  • Choosing Peace

If you are looking for reasons to be upset, you will undoubtedly find them.

Whether real or imagined, there will always be something you can be angry about, afraid of, or hurt by if that is where you choose to focus your attention.

In fact, the more you focus on the negative or the potentially negative, the more evidence you will find to justify your anger, fear, and self pity.

The universe starts to accommodate your attitude and begins giving you what you are looking for.

This will go on for as long as you would rather be upset than at peace. The choice is yours.

  • Remain Open

It is often easier to know what your purpose is not than to know what it is.

This is a frightening, yet freeing place to be.

You may feel aimless and lost, with no clear direction forward, but at least you know where not to go.

In your uncertainty, you will be tempted to latch onto something, someone, or some idea simply because it is convenient to do so, but this will only take you farther off course.

Remain patient, with an open heart and an open mind, and the right answer will come to you, and your path will become clear.

  • One Great Idea

It takes a lot of bad ideas to get to a single great idea.

Instead of waiting for a great idea or, worse yet, the perfect idea, allow yourself the freedom to have bad ideas.

Bad ideas are the practice that make a great idea possible.

If you are unwilling to have bad ideas, whether because of fear, pride, or laziness, you are unlikely to have any great ideas.

Practice having bad ideas or you risk having no ideas at all.
