Meditations on God

  • Do More Less

    Do more less.

Peace is not found in busyness, but in being.

    Make time to be still.

    Create space to be quiet.

    Listen.

    Breathe.

    Be.

  • Walk Alone

Your spiritual path will not be the same as someone else’s.

You will be called in your own way and moved in your own direction.

You can follow the masters in their methods, but where your path leads you will be unique to you.

In the end, you must walk with God alone.

    Be quiet and listen.

There is a voice calling to only you.

Seek council from those who have gone before you, but listen to your heart above all else.

  • Loving Change

You will have more energy if you are not wasting yours trying to prove others wrong.

Instead of fighting with others, love them.

Try to look on their misconceptions and misunderstandings with compassion.

They, like you, are not perfect.

In spite of how it may seem, most people are doing their best to be good.

But we are deeply flawed and extremely short-sighted creatures.

You may not change others by being more loving and tolerant, but you will be changed in a way that makes them not changing matter much less.

  • Room For God

Resentment is a barrier to God.

You cannot hear God’s voice when your mind is clouded by anger, selfishness, and fear.

God is heard in the quiet places.

There is nothing quiet about resentment.

It hounds your thoughts and consumes your spirit, leaving no room for stillness.

The antidote for resentment is forgiveness.

Through forgiveness, you make room in your heart for God.

  • Love Deeply Live Fully

    Love is not without pain.

In fact, to know love is to know pain.

To love is to feel loss, grief, and heartache.

    What is the alternative?

To live a life without feeling, without caring, and without vulnerability?

What kind of life is that?

Love so deeply that it has the potential to destroy you and live so fully that it’s worth it when it does.
