  • Draw A Line Of Generosity

There is a fine line between being generous and being taken advantage of.

If you are a generous person, it is up to you to draw this line.

You cannot count on others to draw it for you.

Nor should you feel sorry for yourself if people take too much when you are unwilling to tell them not to.

You have to determine how much of yourself you are and are not willing to give.

And then you have to be willing to stand behind your decision.

The most generous people have to set the firmest boundaries.

  • Prioritize People

    Prioritize people.

No matter what your principles are, caring about others must be a priority.

If not, your priorities are misaligned.

At the end of the day, your relationships define your life.

Your accomplishments mean nothing if you have helped no one along the way.

Your legacy is made through the people you have touched and changed in your lifetime.

Prioritize people over power, property, and prestige, and your life will have a long-lasting sense of meaning and purpose.

  • Nervousness And Excitement

Nervousness and excitement are the same energy.

Your body doesn’t know the difference.

All your body knows is that you are anticipating something that will change you.

Your primal nature perceives change as dangerous.

Transformation is a threat to your safety.

When you are anticipating change, you must, therefore, make a decision as to whether you want to be excited or nervous about it.

Your feelings are your feelings, but the story you tell yourself about them is your choice.

  • A Living Protest

If you want to make a change in the world, start by changing yourself.

Make your life a living protest of that which you abhor by living well.

    Protest through goodness.

    Protest through kindness.

    Protest through forgiveness.

    Protest through peace and joy.

The most powerful form of protest is to live a good life and to help others do the same.

  • Emotional Integrity

Don’t let someone else’s unhappiness ruin your day.

    Your peace is your responsibility.

It is yours to cultivate and protect.

You cannot rely on others to make you happy.

Don’t allow them to make you unhappy either.

You must find a balance between empathy and emotional integrity.

You can’t effectively serve others if your emotional nature is constantly at the mercy of the world around you.
