  • Make Peace With Imperfection

Your best will not always be good enough for others.

You will have to come to terms with this.

There is only so much you can do.

You only have so much to give.

As long as you have given your all, make peace with your limitations.

    No one is perfect.

Do not expect to be the first.

Do not let the unrealistic expectations of others bring you down.

    You cannot please everyone.

In fact, some people simply cannot be pleased.

Do what you can and be the best version of yourself.

Beyond that, what other people want from you is more their issue to resolve than yours.

  • Purpose Beckoning

Do not become distracted by someone else’s journey.

You must find your own way.

Even when your path overlaps with another’s, enjoy it, learn from it, but know that your destinations are not the same.

You are your own person with your own unique purpose.

You may not hear it yet, but you are being called to that purpose.

It is inside you, beckoning you, trying to draw you closer.

Listen closely and you will hear its whispers.

    Everything else is just noise.

    Everything else is a distraction.

Everything else leads only to disappointment and dissatisfaction.

  • Work On Your Weaknesses

Knowing what your strengths are is important.

But knowing your weaknesses is essential.

Your strengths lay the foundation for your progress.

They give you a platform off of which to launch effort and perform your work.

Your weaknesses, however, offer you the greatest opportunity for growth.

They are the mindsets and behaviors that, if addressed and improved, will most profoundly affect all other aspects of your life.

Your weaknesses are not made stronger by doubling down on your strengths.

Your strengths, on the other hand, are accentuated and amplified when you begin to work on your weaknesses.

This is not easy, nor is it an overnight matter, but it is certainly worth the effort.

  • Emergent Truth

It is often said that it is wiser to learn from someone else’s mistakes than to have to make those mistakes yourself.

These vicarious lessons may not stick, however.

Lessons learned through others do not make the same impact as lessons learned through direct experience.

Moreover, one person’s lesson, their solution to a specific problem, may not solve another person’s specific problem.

In fact, they may not even have the exact same problem as one another.

For this reason, it is often better to guide others to discover their own solutions to their own unique problems than it is to give them a solution.

Provide them with truths that will help them make informed decisions toward a solution, but do not provide the solution itself.

Create an environment within which solutions will arise.

Allow people to make their own mistakes and to learn their own lessons.

    Foster resilience and encourage creativity.

Be there to provide guidance and support, and let their truth emerge from their experience.

  • Celebrate Others

    Celebrate the accomplishments of others.

With as difficult as life can be, be happy when someone does well, when they have success, or when they achieve something they put effort toward.

These things do not come easily.

Celebrate the moments when good fortune comes to good people who work hard.

Most likely, their win is not your loss anyway.

You are on your own path with your own dreams and your own goals.

Life is challenging enough without jealousy, envy, and spite weighing you down.

These attitudes do nothing to improve your situation.

They are a distraction from the work you have to do.

Conversely, if you rejoice in the good fortune of others, if you use it as inspiration and motivation, you will now have something to aspire toward.

When someone else is successful, take it as a sign that success is possible.

Be happy for them and then get back to work.
