Happiness And Service
You will never be happy trying to make others happy.

But being of service to others is a different story altogether.

Trying to make others happy means trying to be who you think they want you to be.

This means not being yourself, and that will never make you happier.

Being of service, however, means being who others need you to be.

Others need you to be you, the best version of yourself, with something unique and special to offer.

If you can find a way to serve others by being yourself, you will have found your purpose and, in that, a path to true happiness.

Stronger And Wiser
Accept your losses as losses.

Everything else is an excuse.

This does not mean, however, that you should think of a loss as the end of your journey.

Use it as fuel.

Learn from it.

Reevaluate your priorities and your strategy.

Come back stronger, wiser, and more prepared.

The Paradox of Growth
As you grow, your priorities will change.

Your relationships will change as well.

You will enjoy and value different things than you once did.

This is all part of the process of discovering who you are.

What once brought you joy and satisfaction no longer will.

But the people and experiences that do bring you joy and satisfaction will do so with more depth and richness than you previously experienced.

This is the paradox of growth, that it brings disappointment and suffering before it brings fulfillment and meaning, but it does bring fulfillment and meaning, at least until it is time to grow again.

Look for reasons to be kind.

Put in more effort than is required of you.

Be present and attentive.

Care deeply.

Listen.

Give generously of your time.

Be your sensitive self unapologetically and without regret.

Art For Yourself
If you create art for an audience, you will never create anything new.

New cannot have an audience because it has never existed before.

If you want to create something new, something uniquely your own, you must not create with an audience in mind.

Focus instead on creating that which pleases you.

Create that which you want to exist in the world.

Make the art that you want in your life.

When you make art for yourself, you are guaranteed that at least one person likes it.
