Meditations on God

  • Sustained By Faith

You do not need faith when things are going well.

The good times require no effort or trust.

It’s when things are going poorly, when life is difficult, and when you are struggling that faith is required.

When the path forward is unclear, let faith be your compass.

When life feels uncertain and darkness surrounds you, allow faith to light your path.

Faith does not protect you from pain or hardship.

Rather, faith is trusting that you will be sustained spiritually through whatever pain or hardship you encounter.

  • Love Is A Verb

When the world is in conflict, love.

When others are casting blame, love.

When the people are mocking one another, love.

When everyone seems overtaken by bitterness and cynicism, love.

When you are tempted to hate your enemy, love.

When you are condemned and persecuted for your love, love.

    Love.

  • Walk In Faith

    Open your heart.

    Let go of control.

    Be willing to trust.

    You are loved.

    You are being cared for.

    Submit to faith.

Your path will be lit before you and the shadows will become your stepping stones.

  • Your Reward

Do not seek approval from others.

Their praises will not nourish you.

Their criticism will not destroy you.

    Simply focus on your work.

    Fulfill your purpose quietly.

    Follow your calling faithfully.

Your reward will not come in the form of words.

  • Beyond Understanding

Be still and allow yourself to be loved.

It’s the simplest thing in the world.

Yet it’s the most difficult thing in the world.

We have so many desires, fears, and expectations that keep us from trusting that everything will work out.

We waste our time regretting the past and worrying about the future.

But it’s all going to be over in the blink of an eye.

Enjoy this moment and know that you are cared for beyond your understanding.
