  • Asked To Wait

    Don’t allow
    the world’s impatience
    to push you to act
    when God is asking
    for you to wait
    beware the cry of urgency
    from those
    who know not stillness
    the quiet voice of truth
    never imposes
    and love never
    makes demands

  • Upon A Promise

    Waves of uncertainty
    crash upon me
    battering me against
    the reef of doubt
    and despair
    the winds of wordly desires
    toss me to and fro
    driving me back
    to the shores of emptiness
    and familiarity
    but you call me forth
    into the vast unknown
if only I will walk in faith
    upon the waters of love
    floating upon a promise
    once made and never broken

  • Unworthy And Loved

    To feel unworthy
    of God’s love
is a tragedy of the soul
    the gateway to shame
    and isolation
    consumed by pride
    we hide in darkness
    for fear of being exposed
    in our brokenness
    but to God
    nothing is hidden
    all of our flaws
    are exposed
    in the divine light
    and yet we are loved
    exactly as we are
    even in our unworthiness

  • On The Shortest Day

    On the shortest day
    with the longest night
    when darkness
    feels like forever
    remember that tomorrow
    the sun will shine
    just a little bit longer
    and so it goes
    until the longest day
    with the shortest night
    when the sunshine
    feels like forever
    and then the days
    grow shorter once more
    reminding us
    all things must pass
    and that only God
    is forever

  • Come To Me

    Without you Lord
    I am so afraid
    and so alone
    all of my ways
    have failed me
    but through my pain
    I heard your voice
    saying come to me
    do not worry
    I am your peace
    and comfort
    follow me
and you will never be lost
for I will lead the way
