Lord I know
when I finally ascend
to meet you
I have a lot to answer for
and for that I am afraid
but I also know
that you have forgiven me
and told me not to fear
for you have made a way for me
to be with you forever
through Christ Jesus
for you are the God of love
truth and mercy
having given it all for my sake
if only I accept it
