If you do something brave and fail, no one else gets to have an opinion about your failure without your permission.

What other people think about the outcome of your efforts is none of your business unless you choose for it to be.

You are the one who stepped up.

You are the one who faced your fears, and make no mistake, there is no bravery without there first being fear.

You are the one who put it on the line, who took a chance, and who went to battle against the demons of inertia, mundanity, and mediocrity.

Every act of bravery is remarkable, regardless of the outcome.

You are exceptional because of your failures, not in spite of them, because failure is evidence that you tried.

Use your failure as fuel to move forward.

Keep going, keep trying, and continue to act bravely.

The opinions of those who do not act bravely, and will never do so, are of no consequence.

Their voices exist only in your mind; they are not real.

They are echos of your past and of the fear that you left behind on your journey of courage.

The only thing that matters is the next challenge you will face, the next obstacle you will overcome, and the work you do now in preparation for the next opportunity to act bravely.
