Do one thing to challenge yourself today. Tomorrow, do that again.

The idea of doing something difficult, consistently, for a week, a month, a year, or for many years is daunting and, depending on the task, may even seem impossible. It is much less intimidating to simply commit to do that difficult thing today. It is only one thing and you only need to do it for one day.
Do this again tomorrow. Then do it the next day and the day after that. Remember, it is only one thing and you only need to do it for one day.
If you do one thing to challenge yourself for enough days in a row, and then you look back, you will find that you have made progress. Progress tends to inspire us to strive for more progress. When we get far enough away from our starting point, we cannot help but to keep moving forward.
Move forward by doing one challenging thing for one day. Then, repeat.
