Lord I believe
you have a reason
for this sorrow that fills my heart

pray with us

hear your words
and be healed by them

to the Father

for without you
we are but lost sheep
in a world of wolves
intent upon ravaging
and consuming us
when we lose sight of you

Lord sometimes
you feel so far away
so absent and hard to reach
and yet I know
you are nearer to me
than I am to myself
your very presence
pouring itself out
moment to moment
breathing life into being
you are existence itself
show me the way Lord
back to you
who has never left me

Our very prayers
are a gift from God
the love we feel
in our hearts
graced upon us
through the Holy Spirit
for we are nothing
without the Lord
there is no holiness
within us
save for that holiness
bestowed upon us
by He who is holiness itself
