Meditations on God

Lord I believe
you have a reason
for this sorrow that fills my heart
this emptiness
that leaves me longing
for your presence
replenish my soul
dear Lord
with your loving grace
comfort me with your
mercy and kindness
free me from the demons
that taunt and torment me
I trust your word
Lord God
that despair is not
my final destination
