When I was alone and afraid
Jesus wept
when I was abandoned and betrayed
Jesus wept
when I lost all hope
and wished for the end
Jesus wept
He cried when I cried
He suffered when I suffered
even though I could not see Him
He never left my side
He held me in my pain
Jesus wept
whispering I love you little one
this is not what I wanted for you
I am here
weeping with and for you
come to me
