Set your own standards for progress.
It is your life to live and no one else can live it for you.
You need to determine where you want to go and how fast you want to get there.
And then you need to go.
Go at your own pace, but do not let anything stand in your way.
Life will try to distract you and deter you.
People will try to pressure and persuade you.
But you only get one life and, as long as you are not harming anyone, you need to live it as you see fit.
No one else will have to live with your regrets but you.
It is your task, therefore, to ensure that you have as few regrets as possible, that you live your life in such a way that you are satisfied with what you have accomplished and how you have accomplished it.
This means going your own way and at your own speed, not necessarily alone, but not on someone else’s timeline either.
