Faith is not easily attained
for the fruits of faith
are not seen
until we are faithful
revealing themselves
as we walk
through our fear
and as we trudge
the road of happy destiny
we discover that our faith
is always met
with the faithfulness of a God
who never abandons us

In silence
I rest my weary head
and my aching bones
upon the merciful bosom of God
I am comforted
by the quiet
that once tortured me
I find peace
in the darkness
I once feared
in God’s embrace
I have found the peace of heaven
and a glimpse of eternity
from this silence I was born
and to it I willingly return

we do not awaken
all at once
there is a lot to process
our eyes need time to adjust

of who we are

of who God needs us to be

there are many
detours

but it is in the times
when we feel

and so we come to find
that we are being led
