  • Your Weird Your Gift

It may not feel like it right now, but your uniqueness is your gift.

The things that make you weird or strange today are the things that will make you special tomorrow.

That which feels or is perceived as quirky or eccentric is, in fact, that which makes you you.

Be kind to yourself and be patient.

Follow your idiosyncrasies where they lead you and embrace your weird.

Get to know the jagged edges, uneven lines, and hidden corners of your soul.

For, it is from these strange places that your true personality will arise, and from there your purpose.

  • Look For Good

Look for the good in people.

Close-mindedness, judgement, and cynicism are lazy attitudes that do nothing to improve your life.

All these attitudes do is shut you off to the possibilities around you.

They prevent you from seeing past your own opinions and perceptions.

These attitudes also leave no room for the potential for growth and change, both for you and the other person.

People are much more than what we see on the surface.

And they are certainly much more than what we decide they are.

Look beyond your opinions and your prejudices to see the whole person.

You do not have to like everything you see, but, with very few exceptions, if you look hard enough, you will find some good in everyone.

If nothing else changes, at least you will.

  • Protect The Spark Inside You

    Protect the spark inside you.

Tend to it and nurture it until it grows into a fiery flame.

Use that flame to brighten the world with your joy, enthusiasm, and creativity.

Light up the lives of those around you.

Become a beacon of inspiration and hope for others.

Lead the way with your courage, confidence, and vulnerability.

    Never give up your light.

Never give in to cynicism, despair, or self pity.

Do not allow the world or your experiences to extinguish your flame.

Protect the spark inside you, but share your light with the world.

  • Brighten Every Room

Do not let anyone steal your enthusiasm.

Life is not easy and bad things will happen.

You will face difficult times, stressful situations, and challenging relationships.

You will feel pain, grief, and loss.

People will not always treat you kindly or fairly.

In fact, some people will be intentionally cruel to you for reasons even they may not fully understand.

There are going to be plenty of reasons to be sad or angry throughout your days, but always remember that these circumstances and these feelings are temporary.

    Keep your head up.

Stay enthusiastic about life, about the possibility of tomorrow, and about the potential you have to experience and do amazing things.

Allow your enthusiasm and your presence to brighten every room you enter until your life and your light cannot be denied.

    Your enthusiasm is your superpower.

Live your life boldly, bravely, and without regret.

  • Thinking Of Others

It is difficult to be worried about yourself when you are thinking about what you can do for others.

Service is a healing balm for the soul.

It takes you out of yourself and helps you forget about your selfish desires and self-centered fears.

Service centers you in the present moment and gives you purpose.

It calms the ceaseless chatter in your mind and the incessant regrets about the past and fears about the future.

When you find yourself caught up in worry, remorse, anger, or self pity, turn your thoughts to someone you can help.

You may discover that your problems were not as overwhelming or important as they once seemed.
