Meditations on God

To feel unworthy
of God’s love
is a tragedy of the soul
the gateway to shame
and isolation
consumed by pride
we hide in darkness
for fear of being exposed
in our brokenness
but to God
nothing is hidden
all of our flaws
are exposed
in the divine light
and yet we are loved
exactly as we are
even in our unworthiness
