Meditations on God

Of course you are afraid
of course you are sad and angry
you trust only yourself
clinging to that which you can control
frustrated and overwhelmed by that which you cannot
if only you would loosen your grip
and reach out in faith
to touch the invisible
garment of love
you would find
that it was never not there
enveloping you
protecting you
since before you even
knew yourself
