Everyone changes.
The question is whether you are changing for the better or the worse.
This is not always an easy question to answer.
Most change happens slowly, over long periods of time.
And change is rarely a linear progression or regression.
There are peaks and valleys along the path.
Add to this the fact that it is very difficult to have an objective self perspective, and it is easy to get lost in the journey and to lose sight of how far you have gone in one direction or another.
This is why you need goals.
Goals give you a point of reference.
They give you something to strive for and a way to measure progress.
Without them, you may simply find yourself coasting along.
Keep in mind, however, that you cannot coast uphill.
