Your problems are rarely as overwhelming or insurmountable as they seem, but it is difficult to see past that which is right in front of you.
From where you stand, you lack the perspective to see the other side of the obstacles in your path.
Sometimes you must simply step back to see the bigger picture.
Other times, you need to work through or around your problems to gain the perspective necessary to see that life is bigger than your difficulties first appeared.
But there will be times when none of this seems possible, when you do not feel strong or capable enough, and when you just do not have the will or the confidence to move forward.
In these instances, it is not only okay, but it may even be necessary to ask for help.
There are other people who have been where you are and who have reached the other side.
Find them and ask them for guidance, for a helping hand, and let them show you the way.
No one gets through this life without ever needing help; you will not be the first.
Borrow someone else’s perspective, borrow their wisdom and their courage, and use it as your own until you reach the other side of whatever is standing in your way.
Then, go back and help someone else.
