Maintaining Our Priorities

Once we establish our priorities, it is up to us to maintain them.

No one else is going to do this for us.

Our priorities are not the responsibility of others.

They are ours and our ability to maintain them is one essential aspect of our integrity.

This does not mean that we should be inflexible.

We should do our best to adapt to the situations, circumstances, and relationships we find ourselves in.

But, our priorities must not give way to the priorities of others lest we lose sight of who we are, what is important to us, and who we want to be.

After all, we are much more useful to the people around us when we are not filled with frustration, resentment, or regret.
